This song came through during the "panda plot twist" of 2020 while I was navigating some intense harassment by a landlord who was trying to evict me (and succeeded). I felt the Earth shifting under my feet and the ancestral wounding of land theft. I felt deep in my bones the story of the violent and forced removal of the original people who stewarded that land. During my displacement, I found some comfort in the words of Chief Seattle "The Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the Earth." And Rumi "Wherever you stand, be the soul of that place." And Wendell Berry, "What I stand for, is what I stand on."
This song is both a proclamation and a promise. It is time to remember why we have come to live as humans on this beautiful Earth.
The letter "I" is a magical symbol. It represents a conduit of embodiment between the Stars and Earth. We are portals incarnate! Find your center, tap into your connection to the heavens, bring it down to your feet and ground. Bless this sacred Earth who holds us our whole lives long. Be in the Now and know that you belong! Wherever you stand, be the soul of that place.

PS. After a year living out of my car and surviving the panda shut down, I am now planted, growing a new garden, building soil, feeding birds and bees and neighbors and regenerating on a cellular level.
